About Us

Social Activities for Rural Development Society

We empower marginalized rural, tribal, and urban communities by addressing poverty, inequality, and lack of access to education, healthcare, and child welfare services.

Social Activities for Rural Development Society (SARDS), established in 1986, is a not-for-profit, child-focused humanitarian organization committed to addressing the developmental challenges of rural, tribal, and urban communities in India. Founded by a group of dedicated development professionals, SARDS brings together deep understanding and experience of grassroots realities with a professional approach to community development. Our mission is to promote sustainable and inclusive growth through child welfare, education, health, livelihood, and social empowerment initiatives. Guided by compassion and expertise, we work closely with vulnerable populations to create lasting positive change.

In 2023–24, over 360 children improved their academic skills, 58 dropouts were re-enrolled in school, and 100 tribal families received solar lighting for safer community interaction.
